خوانسار

Khansar is located in Isfahan province. The city is surrounded by Zagros mountain range. It is one of the most beautiful and historical cities in Iran. It is 400 km far from Tehran .Khansar has a population of ۳۳/000 habitants. There are a lot of tourist attractions in the city and. every year lots of people come to visit an especial kind of tulip on Mount Golestan. The climate and wealthy nature let farming and agriculture be developed. The most famous souvenirs of Khansar are honey and Gaz. Agriculture is the major economic activity and the most important products are sour cherry, walnut , peanut and apple. There are a lot of Iranian traditional buildings in Khansar like mosques and Hoseynieh. Khansari has been known as a dialect. Khansari people have been familiar with literature, poetry, calligraphy, handy craft and folk music. There is a special handmade carpet with a special design that is called "wist". Every year a lot of tourists come to see the outdoor religious theater called "Taazieh" which is a play about the third moslems' Imam who was killed with his flews in Iraq in 650 AC in an unfair battle in its anniversary and they are known as Karbala martyrs. In spite of traditional atmosphere of the city, some new universities and factories have changed the city from a traditional and poor area to a developing city in the central part of Iran.
